Self-Reliance Groups

Our stake has the opportunity to participate in virtual self-reliance groups with other stakes in the region. The next round of groups will begin meeting at the start of February, and registration will close on January 28. sign-up link ( https://forms.gle/93q82iuN2SwqiPe19 ). Here are two things that will be new for the classes in 2024: 1. The Sunday evening Emotional Resilience class will be an ongoing class. People will be able to join this class on any Sunday evening between Feb 4 and December using the link that is in the attached flyer. 2. Those who sign up for help Finding A Better Job will be contacted by Elder Donald Peck of Employment Services. He will make them select and join the appropriate Employment Services that program could help them. For example, people may want to attend afternoon skill-building workshops, join a morning or evening active job search group, join the starting a side business group, or register for one-on-one help with their resume. People who need job help can register at employment.churchofjesuschrist.org at any time. They will receive a return call within 24-48 hours. There is no need to wait for a Find A Better Job group to start. If you need help or training with employment services, Elder Donald Peck, elderdpeck@churchofjesuschrist.org, is available to help people in our stakes.
