Theme: Pioneer Heritage

We invite you to bring a traditional dish from your family hestiage or something that would have been cooked in the 1800s. Games and activities will reflect those common for the time.

Fun Fact: Pioneer Day is not an Alberta holiday or an official Church religious holiday. The day commemorates the first entry of Brigham Young and a group of Latter-day Saint pioneers into the Salt Lake Valley on July 24, 1847. Celebrations of that event started in 1849 and today, it is a state holiday in Utah.
