Fast Sunday is a day of fasting and prayer for members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The purpose of Fast Sunday is to draw closer to God, increase spirtual strength, and receive blessings.
How it works:
Members fast for two consecutive meals, usually on the first Sunday of the month/
Members may donate the money they would have spent on food to the curch as a fast offering.
The church uses the fast offerings to help those in need.
Member participate in a fast and testimony meeting where they share their testimony of gospel truths.
