Why I Believe

Sunday, Jul. 16 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Washington D.C. Temple Visitors Center
Join us to hear José and Alexandra Franco share their story of why they believe. José was born in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, and moved to McKinney, Texas as a teen. José grew up a member of the Pentecostal faith and began preaching at a local church during high school. He left his job as a pastor and was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. José served a mission in Oklahoma City and attended BYU afterward. He graduated with a double major in Latin American Studies and Portuguese and a minor in Business. Alexandra grew up near Cleveland, Ohio until her family moved to San Antonio, Texas when she was 11. She grew up loving music and served a mission in Irvine, California. Alexandra graduated from BYU with a degree in Music Education. Alexandra and José married in the Salt Lake Temple in 2018 and have since moved to Spanish Fork, Utah where they take care of their chickens, turkeys, ducks, rabbits, and dogs. They’re on Instagram and Youtube @losfrancohomestead. José teaches and coordinates Spanish seminary programs for the Church and Alexandra teaches middle school band.
