2023 Giving Machine Volunteers Needed

Greetings, all! We are privileged that the Church has assigned Light the World Giving Machines to our area for 2023 from Friday, November 24 through Monday, January 1. They will be located in Ballston Quarter Mall, Arlington, Virginia, inside the main entrance (M1) at Wilson Blvd, between Macy’s and the "Pictures with Santa" display. $1 garage parking is available for up to 3 hours. This initiative provides a wonderful opportunity for us to partner with charities, blessing the lives of the poor and needy both locally and globally. Oakton Stake is kindly requested to provide volunteers for 2-hour shifts from 10 am until 8 pm on Tuesday Dec. 12, Wednesday Dec. 20, and Sunday Dec. 31. Youth over 14 are welcome, accompanied by an adult. Volunteers will receive further instructions. Please also note that the Festival of Lights at the Temple Visitor Center will NOT be hosting the Giving Machines.
