Children's National Blood Drive

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day SaintsOur local blood supply is sort, and the need is great. Your blood can help premature babies, trauma victims, children with sickle cell disease, cancer, blood disorders, or those needing heart or other life-saving surgeries.
Our church is hosting a blood drive with Children's National Hospital on Saturday, May 6th, from 9am-2pm in the gym at our church building. If you want to donate, review the flyer and schedule an appointment HERE.
A few other things to note...
- Donors must be healthy and meet other Donor Eligibility Requirements
- You must NOT have donated blood elsewhere after March 10th
- Donors will be asked a series of regular screening questions and a few COVID-19-related screening questions
- You must eat a hearty meal before donating (a smoothie and granola bar alone will get you deferred)
- You will need to bring a government-issued photo ID
- Donating blood takes approximately 45 minutes
- Masks are still required (they will be provided if you need one)
