On behalf of the organizers of the Washington DC Temple Visitors’ Center Messiah Sing-along, we would like to thank you, the audience “choir,” for your contribution to our performance. Our mission, during this Easter season, is to inspire reflection on our Savior’s suffering, death, and glorious resurrection by means of the Messiah oratorio, where all in attendance can sing Hallelujah to our Redeemer.
Dave Hardin, the director for the Washington DC Temple Visitors’ Center Easter Messiah Sing-along, has directed choirs and orchestras for decades all over the country, including as associate conductor for the Washington DC Temple Choir. He holds a Master of Music degree in Conducting from George Mason University. For 19 of the last 22 years (with a pandemic hiatus), Mr. Hardin has conducted Messiah Sing-along concerts with orchestras for the Annandale VA, and Washington DC areas. Marleigh Savage-Mansfield, a choral conductor, is an accomplished musician new to the DC area, currently pursuing her Masters in Choral Conducting. Instrumentalists for this performance include several members of the Washington DC Temple Orchestra, Armed Services Bands, and other local orchestras. Soloists are selected from the Washington DC Temple Choir, and other local choirs in the area.
This performance is part of the Holy Week Celebration at the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors’ Center.
