Josh and Alecia Darrow are both from upstate New York where they met in high school. After he asked her out on their first date, someone warned him that she was a “Mormon” and he had to go look in an encyclopedia to find out what that meant. He decided since it said it was a Christian church that it was okay to date her. The rest is history.
After joining The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as a teenager, Josh served a church mission in San Fernando, California speaking Spanish. Alecia served in the Kiev, Ukraine mission speaking Ukrainian. They both look forward to serving a mission together someday. They are both BYU graduates and Josh has worked as an aeronautical engineer for both the Air Force and the Navy for the past 18 years. They have four children ages 9-16 and spend a lot of time watching their boys play baseball and their girls dancing. They both love to read and travel, and Josh is an enthusiastic home pizza maker.
The exhibits at the Visitors’ Center, open from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM, will also be available to view before and after the devotional. Each exhibition focuses on God’s Plan, prayer, and other uplifting topics and experiences.
We will have a “Why I Believe” devotional at 6:00 PM on the third Sunday of every month except December.
