Registration is now open for our April 19th Sleep in Heavenly Peace project, and we will need at least 75 volunteers. The Church is buying all the lumber and supplies and you (along with your families, friends and our community partners) will be the volunteers to build, assemble and deliver top-notch bunk beds to children and families in need. Our service project will take place at the Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Webster, TX.
As a bed building volunteer, you will have a chance to learn how to use woodworking tools such as saws, drills, sanders and many other pieces of equipment. You will learn how to measure, level and make true wood cuts; how to sand and stain wood; and you may even get the chance to brand a bed!
Youth ages 11 - 17 can sign up for the build but will be asked to provide an email address for their parents or guardian to sign the wavier form. Younger children can attend with their parents (be aware that power tools will be used and parental supervision of young children is a must).
