Sandtown 5K Fun Run, Walk, Hike

  • Everyone
Saturday, Aug 30, 7:00 AM – 9:00 AM

The Sandtown 5K is a challenging cross-country ridge run, walk, or hike held on the last Saturday of every month in St. George, Utah. Starting at Sandtown Park, the course features a mix of paved and unpaved trails, including a steep 200-foot section with a 45-degree slope—making it one of the toughest 5Ks in Utah. The route offers scenic views of Pine Valley Mountain, the St. George Temple, and more, with plenty of photo opportunities along the way.

This event is open to all who are ready for a demanding course and a fun, supportive atmosphere. Whether you’re running, walking, or hiking, you’ll finish at the park with a bacon buttermilk pancake breakfast and a chance to join the post-race dance party. No RSVP is necessary—just show up at the northwest corner of Sandtown Park a few minutes before 7:00 AM for the 7:00 AM start. Please note: start times may change periodically to coincide with sunrise.
