Ivy Hill Cemetery Fence Repainting

  • Everyone
Saturday, Apr 19, 1:00 PM – Saturday, Apr 26, 2:00 PM

we will continue our efforts to repaint the fence of the Ivy Hill Cemetary across the street from the King St Chapel.

Saturdays, April 12th and 19th, starting at 1:00 pm, we are looking for volunteers with power tools. We will be removing paint and rust from the fence. Please bring a drill or angle grinder. Cordless is preferred, but we will have some extension cords for those tools requiring them. We will also provide polycarbide attachments that can be used with drills and grinders, as well as dust masks. Wear clothes that can get dirty.

Saturday, April 26th, starting at 8:00 am, we will need volunteers to paint. We will be applying a white base primer coat, then take a break to let it dry, and finally apply a black exterior coat. Wear clothes that can get dirty. (The exterior paint is oil based and may require paint thinner to remove from clothing.) Paint brushes, gloves, and other supplies will be provided.

All volunteers are appreciated, even if you can only serve for a short period of time. Please direct all inquiries to Rich Speckart, rich.speckart@gmail.com
