Stake Service Opportunity

Our stake is collecting new backpacks for refugee children ages 5-18 in our area! These families are documented refugees who were recently resettled by the US Dept of State from war-torn countries. Many are Afghans who aided the US military during the past two decades and have fled the Taliban for their safety and so their children (daughters especially) can go to school. They have come to America with almost nothing, to work hard to rebuild their lives, learn English, and integrate into American culture. Please collect backpacks in your wards by August 11th.
